Patricia Hartmann was one of the most recognizable faces on the Runways of Paris, New York and Milan during the 90’s Supermodel era.
Born and raised in Germany, Patricia moved to Paris in 1991, where she was quickly discovered by the legendary Karl Lagerfeld who then featured Patricia in his Chanel shows after prompting her to have renowned hairdresser Yannick D’Ys cut her hair short for the iconic ‘Twiggy’ look. Karl also photographed her for his Chanel look book, and Patricia became somewhat of a muse for him at that time.
Patricia iconic catwalk strut was coveted by the world’s top designers and landed her on the Runways for Dior, Versace, Valentino, YSL, Ralph Lauren, Oscar de la Renta and many more.
She earned the nickname ‘Chameleon’ for her ability to transform her look with hair, makeup and attitude, and was featured on countless magazine covers, including Vogue, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, Marie Clair, Allure, and Cosmopolitan among many others.
At the height of her modeling career, Patricia was the face for L’oreal Cosmetics worldwide, for print ads and television, and simultaneously appeared in other prestigious ad campaigns for Valentino, Yves Saint Laurent, Alberta Ferretti, Claude Montana, Guess Jeans, Joan Vass and many others.
Over the course of her remarkable career, she worked with world famous photographers, including Mario Testino, Steven Meisel, Helmut Newton, Patrick Demarchelier, and Ellen von Unwerth.
Despite her success in the world of fashion and beauty, Patricia always maintained her modest disposition and girl next door allure. She decided to leave the glamorous world of modeling behind and start a family. Her daughter, Anna, was born in 2000 and her son, Luca, in 2002. In the following years, Patricia was dedicated to raising her family, but never lost her love for beauty and fashion.
During her career, the transforming artistry in the makeup chair captured Patricia’s heart and imagination. Working with the world’s elite makeup artists, she learned the tricks of the trade, not only what looks and feels great, but what performs under the hot photo shoot lights, and the split second clothing changes of the runway shows.
Well known for her photogenic pout, Patricia took a very hands on approach, and spent countless hours with a highly acclaimed cosmetic chemist to create luxurious and unique lip color formulas with plans to set a new standard, and make her mark yet again in the world of beauty. In 2016 Patricia launched her now highly successful brand Runway Rogue with a carefully crafted collection of matte and satin lipsticks, rich hydrating glosses and creamy gel liners. In September 2017 Runway Rogue launched Pearl Glam, their now bestselling shimmer matte liquid lipstick, which has quickly attracted the attention of the press and the beauty industry. Her brand’s Motto? Life is your Runway, so strut!
