Lara Harris began her prestigious modeling career when her father entered her in the “New Chicago Face” contest, which she won. She left Illinois for Paris and New York, where she walked the catwalk for many designers, including Calvin Klein, Donna Karan, Giorgio Armani, Jean-Paul Gaultier, Commes des Garcons and Yohji Yamamoto. She has appeared in numerous beauty and fashion campaigns, notably Gio For Armani, Armani Couture, Ultima II, Oil of Olay, Banana Republic, Emmanuel for Emmanuel Ungaro, Yves Saint Laurent, Roc, Vichy and more. She has worked with some of the most famous fashion photographers including Richard Avedon, Patrick Demarchelier, Peter Lindbergh, Wayne Maser, Steven Meisel, Robert Mapplethorpe, Rico Puhlmann, David Seidner, Pamela Hanson, Brigitte Lacombe, Mario Testino, Dewey Nicks, and Denis Piel. As an actress, some of her credits are The Fisher King, Friends, Law & Order, The Young and the Restless, and American Horror Story. Lara earned her B.A. from The New School in New York, then attended graduate school in Santa Barbara, earning her degree in Counseling Psychology. Lara lives in Los Angeles, where, in addition to acting and modeling, she has a private practice as a psychotherapist. She lives in a 1920s Spanish house that originally belonged to Rudolph Valentino.
