Brenda Schad was born in Walnut Creek, California to Native American parents and was then adopted by a military family. Brenda was discovered in Japan when she was fifteen and began modeling in Tokyo to pay for her university studies in political science. Soon after Brenda went to to Paris, where she was seen in every show from Galliano, Lacroix, Azzedine Alaia, Dior, to Dolce and Gabbana and Valentino in Milan. A fraction of her campaigns include Gucci, Dior, Givenchy, Escade, Sonia Rykiel, Dior, Victoria Secret, Van Cleef and Arpels as well as editorials and covers for magazines like Vogue, Elle, Cosmo, Marie Claire, Amica, and G.Q. Brenda experienced a life where seemingly opposing cultures and traditions existed in harmony. Brenda is now a designer for her brand Tribe, where she blends the exotic with the classic, effortlessly combining the beautiful things she saw, grew up with and dreamed about together. She is passionate about ALL women having inner beauty and strength, and the ability to follow their dreams.
